CALIBRATING THE BAROMETRIC
PRESSURE SENSOR | TECHNICAL
SERVICE
The Reader Unit contains a barometric pres-
sure sensor (BARD sensor). An annual cali-
bration is required to ensure that predefined
tolerance limits are maintained.
NOTE
As part of the calibration, a comprehensive
functional check of the device is also per-
formed. Omitting to perform the annual cali-
bration can result in a drift of the BARD sen-
sor outside of the tolerance limits.
The device must therefore be sent to the tech-
nical service department on an annual basis.
The requirements defined in the "Storage and
transport" chapter as well as in the "Ambient
conditions" chapter must be observed.
The due date for the next calibration can be
found in the menu under
[System details] > [Service date].
The battery can be replaced by the technical
service department at the end of the associ-
ated operating life.
