Editing to Tape
Once you have completed a project in Final Cut Pro X, you can render the project to a movie
file and then use Blackmagic Media Express to master the movie to tape with your
Blackmagic Design video hardware.

Select your clips from the timeline in Final Cut Pro X.

Go to file>share>master file and the 'master file' window opens.

Click 'settings' and select your desired video codec from the dropdown menu.

Click 'next...' and select a location for your movie and then click 'save'.

Open Media Express and import the clip that was exported from Final Cut Pro X.

Avid Media Composer
Avid Media Composer captures and plays back up to 4K video and audio with
Blackmagic Design video hardware and also supports RS-422 deck control. Blackmagic
plug-ins for Media Composer are automatically installed if Media Composer is installed before
the Desktop Video software.
