SATAjet 1000 B (RP/HVLP) Operating Instructions
Information!
If the required gun input pressure is not present, increase the pressure
in the compressed air circuit.
Excess input pressure will cause excess removal forces.
■ Pull trigger [1-11] all the way off.
■ Adjust the gun input pressure according to one of the following adjust-
ment options [3-1], [3-2], [3-3] to [3-4]. Adhere to the maximum gun
input pressure (see 2).
■ Move the trigger to the start position.
Adjusting the material flow rate
Information!
There will be less wear on the paint nozzle and paint needle if the ma-
terial flow control is fully open. Select the nozzle size depending on the
spray medium and working speed.
The quantity of material and thus the needle lift can be variably adjusted
using the adjustment screw as shown in figures [4-1], [4-2], [4-3] and
[4-4].
■ Loosen counter nut [1-4].
■ Pull trigger [1-11] all the way off.
■ Adjust material flow rate using adjustment screw [1-3].
■ Tighten counter nut by hand.
Adjustment of the Spray Fan Pattern
The spray jet can be variably adjusted using round/flat fan control [1-2]
until a round fan pattern is produced.
■ The fan pattern can be set by turning the round/flat fan control [1-2].
■ Turn right [5-2] – round fan pattern
■ Turn left [5-1] – flat fan pattern
Starting to paint
■ Maintain spray distance (see Chapter 2).
■ Squeeze trigger all the way [6-2] and operate paint spray gun 90° to
the surface to be painted [6-1].
■ Provide for spray air supply and material supply.
■ Pull back on trigger [1-11] and start painting. Readjust the material flow
rate and fan pattern as needed.
