Selecting another group

Press and hold down the group selector switch for half a
second each time. Simply touching it does not change the
setting.
Press the group selector switch repeatedly until the desired group
is selected.
The respective group is announced.

Configuring the communication unit
1. Fit the insert for the configuration cable.
2. Plug the configuration cable into a USB port on the PC.
3. Start the software on the PC.
An explanation how to operate the software is provided in the help
pages of the software.
3.2
Preparations before first use
1. Fit the suitable insert (see Chap. 3.2.1 on Page 27).
2. Insert the batteries (see Chap. 5.3.1 on Page 33).
3. Attach the communication unit to the full face mask (see
Chap. 3.2.2 on Page 27).
CAUTION

During assembly work the specified torques must be
observed since the communication unit could otherwise be
damaged. Use a suitable tool!

3.2.1
Fitting an insert

Only use the communication unit when an insert has been fitted!
If the radio connector cable is not used (e.g. during practice
exercises or cleaning), fit the dummy insert into the
communication unit.
1. Make sure that the communication unit is switched off.
2. Make sure that the sealing on the insert is correctly aligned (see
Page 5, Figure D). It must not be missing or damaged.
3. Fit the insert into the communication unit and screw tight (Allen key
2 mm, torque: 0.3 Nm, see Page 5, Fig. E).
3.2.2
Fitting the communication unit onto the full face mask
When the communication unit is to be fitted for the first time:
a. Remove the screw from the connection piece on the full face
mask if necessary.
b. Dismantle the cap and exhalation valve cover from the full face
mask.
c. For full face masks with P connection piece:
Insert the button of the full face mask into the mount for the
communication unit (see Page 6, Fig. H).
d. Hook the mount for the communication unit into the visor
frame of the full face mask (see Page 6, Fig. K) and fasten it
with the supplied screw (see Page 6, Fig. L).
When the mount for the communication unit is fitted:
a. Slide the communication unit onto the connection piece
parallel to the edge of the mount and hook it into the visor
frame of the full face mask (see Page 6, Fig. M). The
communication unit is fitted correctly when no gap can be
seen between the mount and the communication unit.
b. Switch on the communication unit and check that it is
functioning before it is used.
