12. Unlock thumbscrew on safety ring and extend needle. Exchange locking syringe
for an empty syringe and attach new syringe to Luer lock fitting on handle.
13. Push in plunger to expel aspirate specimen, then prepare per
institutional guidelines.
14. Aspirate remaining can be recovered for examination by flushing device.
15. For additional cell collection from same lesion, gently reinsert stylet into metal
fitting on handle. Note: Prior to reinserting stylet, wipe with saline or sterile
water. While supporting sheath at Luer lock fitting, advance stylet in small
increments until stylet hub is engaged in fitting.
16. Additional samples may be obtained by repeating Step 2 of "System Preparation"
through Step 14 of the "Instructions for Use. "
Upon completion of procedure, dispose of device per institutional guidelines
for biohazardous medical waste.
