PARK DISTANCE CONTROL
The accessories are intended for professional fitting. Škoda Auto recommends
the fitting to be carried out by its contract partners.
- The park distance control, Order No. BEA 630 001, is intended for vehicles Škoda
Yeti (5L) and serves to facilitate the reversing. The four sensors in the rear bumper
watch the distance between the vehicle and a possible obstacle. The driver is in-
formed on the extent of the free area by the acoustic signal from the loudspeaker.
- If an obstacle appears at a distance of 160 cm from the rear section of the vehicle,
it is signalled with short beeps at an interval of 1 second. Approaching the obstacle,
this interval gets shorter continuously. At a distance of 30 cm, the beeping changes
into an uninterrupted tone (signal STOP). Moreover, it is accompanied with jump
changes of the pitch, see individual zones, fig. 15.
- The park distance control is not connected to data lines, and therefore, its diagnos-
tics by the instrument VAS is not possible. This park distance control does not allow
information transmission to other vehicle components (e.g. car radio display).
When removing the individual parts and re-fitting them, proceed in accor-
dance with the Workshop Manuals. During the fitting, the car battery must be
disconnected.
Remove the rear bumper and the panel of the threshold of the luggage compartment.
Loosen and tilt aside the side panel of the trunk lining on the side behind the front
passenger and dismantle the lining of the D-pillar. If you have difficulties in pulling
the wires and gluing the control unit remove the side panel (if needed).
Before gluing the park sensor holders, clean and degrease all the chosen places
carefully using a convenient isopropanol degreaser. Let them dry for 10 min-
utes. Once the places have been prepared in this way, do not touch them more
for any reason; otherwise it is not possible to guarantee the perfect affixing of
individual parts!
The sensors must be painted in compliance with the colour of the vehicle bumper
(material of sensors - metal + EPDM). For painting, use the enclosed template.
During painting, proceed according to instructions and recommendations of the
paint maker.

- Cut the holes out using the punching tool, order number BEA 000 001.
- (If you do not have the punching tool at disposal, drill the holes using a stepped drill
bit. First drill the holes from the outer side of the bumper. Finish the holes from the
inner side. Remove possible burrs and clean the holes.)
