The intrinsically safe circuits are galvanically separated from parts which can be grounded.
For applications requiring instruments of category 2 G, the intrinsically safe supply and signal circuit
must correspond to category ia or ib; when connecting to a circuit of category ib, the flame proofing
identification is EEx ib IIC T6.
For applications requiring category 1 G or 1/2 G instruments the intrinsically safe supply and signal
circuit must correspond to category ia.
For applications requiring category 1 G or 1/2 G instruments all VEGAPULS PS6*.CX***H*** should
be connected preferably to accessory equipment with galvanically separated intrinsically safe circuits.

4. Application conditions

The max. permissible ambient temperatures in dependence of temperature class are mentioned in the
following tables:
Category 1 G instruments
T class
T5
T4, T3, T2, T1
The 80% consideration of EN 1127-1, sect. 6.4.2 is taken into account with the permissible
ambient temperatures on the sensor and electronics.

indication module ( PLICSCOM )
For double-chamber housing version the
adjustment and indication module must be either
equipped in the electronics compartment or in the
connection compartment.
