CLEANING THE FILTERS

CLEANING THE PREFILTER
During normal use of the filtration system, dirt will
collect in the prefilter of the filter pump.
Shut off the filter pump by setting the switch on the
control panel to the "STOP" position.
Close the valve on the inlet side of the filter pump
(installed by the contractor).
Unscrew the clamp knobs of the prefilter basket
cover; remove the basket and clean out debris.
Replace the basket in the housing, making
certain it is positioned correctly.
Having secured the transparent cover, reopen the
pump inlet valve .
Start the filter pump by setting the switch to "MAN",
bleed the sand filter (see step 10 of STARTING
FIRST TIME), then return the switch to the "auto"
position .
