Flow adjustment
The water sample flow must be adjusted via the special needle valve (pos. A Fig.10). This ensures that the
system works properly. For preliminary adjustment, position the flow control needle valve so that the flow indicator
(pos. B fig. 10) is placed in correspondence of the special groove (pos. C fig. 10) on the probe holder that acts as a
reference index. If it is positioned properly the green LED on the probe will switch on. (pos. D fig. 10)
Only in this case, in fact, the sensor (pos. D fig. 10) gives its consent for the instrument to work.
The correct position of the flow indicator is indicated by the different colour of the LED (pos. D fig 10) on the
sensor. The sensor turns red when the flow indicator (pos.B fig. 10) starts to approach the operating position indicated
in the figure, and it turns yellow when the float is fully aligned (correct operating position).
There may be sudden changes in the flow rate. In these cases the needle valve must be set with the lowest
possible pressure, so that there is always a sufficient amount of water flowing through the probe to ensure proper
operation.
If the flow is excessively high, the float rises and the proximity sensor inhibits the operation of the control
unit set points. The same thing happens if the sample water flow is too low as the float lowers.
Proper operation can be ensured solely if the float is in the correct position (yellow LED switched on).
Electrical connection
Comply with the rules in force in the various countries with respect to the electrical installation. If the power supply
cable is devoid of a plug, the equipment must be connected to the mains supply via a double pole isolator switch with a
minimum distance between contacts of 3 mm. Before accessing any of the connection devices, all supply circuits
must be interrupted (Fig. 11).
The unit is supplied pre-wired internally, to connect the dosing pumps to the relay outputs open the junction box
(Fig. 1, pos.4) using a screwdriver to remove the four locking screws. Then connect the external devices to the clamps
indicated respectively with OUT 1, 2, 3 and 4.
