Procedure for upgrading the firmware of the GUARDIAN NEXT controller

Upload the new firmware to a USB memory stick. The uploaded file must be renamed "image.hex". This file must
be uploaded to the main root of the USB memory stick.
To continue the upgrading procedure, switch the instrument off, insert the USB memory stick with the uploaded
firmware into the USB port of the GUARDIAN NEXT controller, switch the instrument on, within 30" press the MENU
key, select the "UPGRADE" option and accept with the "YES" key.
The "UPGRADE" key is only visible when a memory stick with the uploaded image file is inserted in the
USB port.
The new firmware takes approximately 30" to load; when the procedure is complete restart the unit and remove
the USB memory stick. You can verify if the procedure has been successful on the start-up screen which shows the
uploaded release.

Procedure for RESETTING the GUARDIAN NEXT controller

The instrument can be reset with the default factory settings.
The display shows the graphic
trend of the measurement
The keys at the bottom of the
display allow you to move
through the graph.
Switch the instrument off.
When it restarts, wait

approximately 5" and within 60"
press MENU
The screen of the MENU will
2 feature the item RESTORE
DEFAULT, then press NO
Then press the +/- keys, select

the item YES and press OK.
The INSTRUMENT has now
been reset with the default
factory settings.
