Impact of temperature on cell performance and available capacity
When sizing and choosing a battery the variations in ambient tem-
perature and their influence on the cell performance have to be
taken into consideration.
Low ambient temperature conditions reduce the cell performance,
but on the other hand operations with higher temperatures are
similar to those at normal temperatures. The effect of low tempera-
tures is increasing with higher rates of discharge.
The values, which have to be taken into account, can be found in
the following graph.
