    4- Assembly and installation 4.1- Assembly of the detached parts The parts previously described are delivered disassemble to facilitate the machine transport. NOTE:All the bolts, nuts and washers used in the assembly which follow the machine. Rack (1) If the rack is disassembled, assemble it according next steps: a) Assemble each one of the dumpers (1a), with the bolt (1b) + plain washer + lock washer + nut (1c).

However, it is very important to install the machine on a leveled and hard ground prior operation.

    OPERATION TECHNICAL MANUAL - FORAGE CHOPPER JF 30P 6- Maintenance instructions 6.1- Impeller bearing lubrication, grease Lubricate each 8 work hours or daily the bearing of the chopper, using a grease pump. Recommended grease Lithium soap base grease Grade 2.

    IMPORTANT: Sharpen always all the knifes! d) Sharpen each knife with an appropriate emery, avoiding overheating and variation on wire color. IMPORTANT: Don’t cool hot knifes with water. It can cause lashing. Do not sharpen the knife chamfered surface, but the cutting edge only.

    OPERATION TECHNICAL MANUAL - FORAGE CHOPPER JF 30P 6.3- Gap adjustments between knife and counterknife This adjustments must be done after the sharpen or new knifes installation. a) Open the cover (3) of the impeller case. b) Remove the feeding chute (6) loosing the bolts (7).

    6.4- Counterknife If the counterknife (9) is worn, with the edge rounded, replace it. To disassemble the counterknife (9), remove the nuts (11). NOTE 1: The counterknife with rounded edge cause misinform cutting, product shredding and power waste. NOTE 2: Thereafter the counterknife assembly check the play between the knives and impeller, according described on previous item.

    6.6- Forage Chopper preservation Protect the machine agains bad weather and the corrosive effect of some products. Very important: Always keep the head in a dry place, protected from sun and rain. Without this care, there is no preservation. Remove all product waste that remainde inside the machine.

    MANUAL TÉCNICO DE OPERACIÓN - ENSILADORA JF 30P 6- Instrucciones de mantenimiento 6.1- Lubricación del mancal del rotor, a grasa Lubrique a cada 8 horas de trabajo, o diariamente el mancal del rotor picador, usando una engrasadora manual. Grasa recomendada Grasa GMA2 Petrobras BR (o equivalente) o grasa a base de jabón de Lítio Clase 2).
  • Página 44 IMPORTANTE: Haga siempre el afilado de todas las cuchillas! d) Afile cada cuchilla en un esmeril apropiado, evitando el calentamiento excesivo y alteraciones en el color del filo. IMPORTANTE: No esfrie las cuchillas calientes con agua. Esto puede provocar hendiduras. No afile toda la superficie achaflanada de la cuchilla, solamente el filo de corte.

    6.4- Contracuchilla Si la contracuchilla (9) estuviere con desgaste, con el borde redondo, esa debe ser reemplazada. Para sacar la contracuchilla, quite las tuercas (11). OBS.1: Contracuchilla con el borde desgastado (redondo), resulta en cortes desparejos, producto con hilachas y desperdício de energía de accionamiento. OBS.2: Tras el ensamble de la contracuchilla, compruebe la distancia entre ella y las cuchillas del rotor, según se describe en la página anterior.
