6.5- Belt tension adjustment and replacement

Check the belt tension every 50 work hours or weekly.
a) Remove the front cover (2) loosing the four nut (3).
b) Check the tension pressing the belts (1) at a point
indicated on central point. The belt clearance
(deflection) must be between 5 and 10 mm.
c) To adjust the clearance, if necessary, move the motor
according indicated by the arrows.
To do it:
- Loose both nuts from the rail bolts (4).
- Turn the bolts (5) of the tightener (6) according
necessary.
- Then fasten the nut (4 and 5).
d) Reinstall the cover (2).
1- The adjustment of the nuts (5) should be
same in both tighteners, to maintain the
aligment between the motor's pulley and the
pulley of Forage Chopper.
2- Grease, oil and dust attack the belt,
generating premature damaging. Therefore,
maintain the belts always very clean and dry.
3- If the belts present drying, peeling and/ or
free fibers, change them immediately.
Belt replacement:
a) Release the tension by the nuts (5).
b) Remove the belt and install a new one. After first work
hours, check and adjust the tension according
described.
