6.3- Gap adjustments between knife and
counterknife
This adjustments must be done after the sharpen or
new knifes installation.
a) Open the cover (3) of the impeller case.
b) Remove the feeding chute (6) loosing the bolts (7).
c) Loosen (but don't remove) both of bolts (8) of the
impeller (4).
d) Displace the impeller (4) manually forward,
approximating the knifes (1) nearest as possible against
the counter knife (9).
IMPORTANT: It cannot have interference between the
knives and counterknife during the operation. We
recomend a gap between 0,05 to 0,15 mm which match
with a letter paper.
e) Check the gap through the window (10). Turn the
impeller (4) slowly with the hands.
f) After you have adjusted the gap fasten the bolts (8) to
fix the impeller (4) at correct position (without
interference).
g) Rotate the impeller a complete turn and check if the
gap between the other knife and counterknife is also
correct.
h) Reinstall the chute (6) and close the impeller
compartment cover.
