All tires are properly calibrated (tires are
calibrated above normal factory pressure for
transportation purposes).
Make sure that the mower deck is properly
leveled, both side-to-side and front-to-rear, in
order to get the best possible cut (tires should
be properly calibrated for proper leveling).
See the mowing and moving drive belts. See if
they are following the correct course around
the pulleys and inside their protections.
Check the wiring. Check that all connections
are secure and that the wires are properly
secured.
Before operating the tractor, check that the
freewheel control is in the "gear engaged"
position (see "How to transport the tractor" in
the Operation section of this manual).
While learning to use your tractor, pay special
attention to the following items:
Adequate engine oil level.
Fuel tank filled with fresh, clean, unleaded
common gasoline.
Familiarize yourself with all controls, and also
with their location and function. Try to operate
them before starting the engine.
See if the brake system is operating safely.
See if the reverse mowing system is working
properly (see the Operation and Maintenance
sections of this manual).
