Probable cause
1. Low or discharged battery.
2. Battery terminals corroded.
3. Loose or damaged wiring.
4. Defective starting system or solenoid.
1. Excessive or too fast lawn mowing.
2. Accelerator in the position of drowning.
3. Build up lawn, leaves and dirt under the
mower.
4. Dirty air filter.
5. Low/dirty oil level.
6. Defective spark plug or change it.
7. Dirty fuel filter.
8. Old or dirty fuel.
9. Water in fuel.
10. Loose wire on the spark plug.
11. Cooling system/engine fins with dirt.
12. Clogged/dirty muffler.
13. Loose or damaged wiring.
14. Misaligned carburetor.
15. Engine valves not adjusted.
16. The freewheel control is in "unengaged"
position.
17. The motion trigger belt is worn, damaged
or broken.
18. Air pockets formed in transmission
transport or maintenance.
19. Clean the waste from the steering plate.
(If equipped).
20. Worn, damaged or broken drive belt.
1. Spent, bent, or loose blade.
2. Curved blade chuck.
3. Loose or damaged parts.
4. Excessive motor rotation.
Solution
1. Recharge or replace the battery.
2. Clean the battery terminals.
3. Check the entire wiring.
4. Check/replace the starting system or
solenoid.
1. Increase the cutting height/reduce the speed.
2. Adjust throttle control.
3. Clean the bottom of the mower box.
4. Clean/replace the air filter.
5. Check the oil level/change the oil.
6. Clean and adjust the spark plug opening.
7. Replace the fuel filter.
8. Empty the tank and fill it with gasoline new
and clean.
9. Empty the tank and the carburetor, fill the
tank with fresh gasoline and replace the fuel
filter.
10. Plug in and tighten the spark plug wire.
11. Clean the cooling system and engine fins.
12. Clean / replace muffler.
13. Check the entire wiring.
14. See "Adjusting the carburetor" in the
Repairs and Adjustments section.
15. Seek professional services of the closest
TRAPP Authorized Service Center.
16. Set the freewheel control to the "unengaged"
position.
17. Replace the motion trigger belt.
18. Purge the transmission.
19. Refer to the "Cleaning" item in the
Maintenance section of this manual.
20. Replace the drive belt.
1. Replace the blade. Tighten the blade bolt.
2. Seek professional services of the closest
TRAPP Authorized servicing.
3. Tighten the loose parts and replace the
damaged parts.
4. Check the engine speed.
