FAQ
Short answers are provided here. For more detailed information, consult the other pages of this manual.
1) What other installations should I make before installing a Charme, Karma or Feeling stove?
Smoke flue with at least 80 mm diameter.
Air intake in the room with a cross-section of at least 80 cm2.
¾" G attachment for water into system and return from system to tank.
¾" G discharge into drainage system for excess pressure valve
¾" G load attachment
Connection to wiring system compliant with standards with 230V +/- 10%, 50 Hz magnetothermal switch.
2) Can I run my stove without any water?
NO. If you run your stove without any water you will damage it.
3) Do the Charme, Karma and Feeling stoves give off hot air?
NO. Most of the heat produced is conveyed to the water. A minor part is irradiated out into the room where the stove is installed.
We recommend that you always also have a heater in the room where the stove is installed.
4) Can I connect the stove water cycle up directly to a heater?
NO, like every other boiler, you must connect it to a collector tank, which then distributes the water to the heaters.
5) Do the Charme, Karma and Feeling stoves also produce household hot water?
Household hot water can be produced using our IDROKIT.
6) Can I feed the smoke from the Charme, Karma and Feeling stoves directly out through the wall?
NO, a correctly installed smoke stack (in compliance with UNI standard 10683/05 in Italy: check your local standards in other
countries) is at the highest point of the roof. In order to guarantee that your stove will function well, you need at least 1.5 metres
of vertical chimney flue; in case of a power cut or high wind, this ensures that there is no blow-back of smoke into the room where
the stove is installed.
7) Must I provide an air intake in the room where the stove is installed?
Yes, to refresh the air used by the stove in the combustion process; the smoke extractor takes air out of the room to draw it into the
combustion chamber.
8) What must I set on the stove display?
The water temperature you want: the stove will adjust its power automatically to reach it and maintain it. In small systems, you can
set a working mode that includes stove shutdowns and ignitions as a function of the water temperature reached.
9) How often must I clean out the combustion chamber?
Every time you ignite the stove, before you ignite it and when the stove is still cold. FIRST SCRAPE THE EXCHANGER PIPES and
rattle the smoke flue cleaner rods.
10) Must I vacuum the pellet reserve out?
Yes, at least once every month and every time you leave the stove unused for any period of time.
11) Can I burn any other fuels, apart from pellets?
NO. Your stove is designed to burn 6 mm diameter wooden pellets: any other material might damage it.
12) Can I ignite the stove with a text message?
Yes, if the Dealer or an electrician has installed a telephone system on the AUX port on the pcb.
