6. Functional Checks

After every change of cylinder it is essential to perform a functional check on the pressure
reducer.
If this functional check reveals any faults, you must not use the pressure reducer.
A full functional check comprises:
• Visual inspection for mechanical damage;
• "6.2 Checking the system for leaks" on page 22;
• "6.3 Checking for leaks in the safety valve" on page 23.
We recommend you always have the following spare parts available:
• Replacement seal set WM 1148;
• Filter screw WM 30905

6.1 Intervals

After every change of cylinder, and at least every 6 months if not used
in the meantime
• Perform a functional check.
Immediately if dirty, at least every two years
• Change filter screw 11 in connecting union 2 (see "8.1 Replacing the fil-
ter screw" on page 25).
