3.3.3.10 Preparation for operation start

3.3.3.10.1 Cleaning

 The inside and outside of the alternator must be free of
oil, water, dust and dirt;

Remove the rust inhibitor of the exposed surfaces with
a cloth soaked in a petroleum-based solvent.

Make sure the bearings used for lubrication and
cavities are free from dirt and properly sealed.

3.3.3.10.2 Verification of insulation resistance

ATTENTION
Before putting the alternator into operation,
the insulation resistance of the windings
should be measured as in item 4.5 of this
manual.

3.3.3.10.3 Others

Follow all other procedures in the 5 item in this manual
before putting the alternator into operation.
