INFORMATION REGARDING INSTALLATION

ATTENTION: make sure that the
power supply has been discon-
nected before carrying out any
operations.
ATTENTION:before carrying out any opera-
tions, put on appropriate personal protec-
tive equipment.
ATTENTION: The unit must be installed in
compliance with national regulations.
ATTENTION: keep electric connections and
hydraulic connections separated. Hydraulic
Follow the indications below to install the
equipment correctly.
The completion of all operations, according
to specific requirements, is left to the expe-
rience of the installer.
• Refer to the features of the current version.
• All the fan coils can be installed in vertical
position.
• Only the versions equipped with front tray
can be installed in horizontal position.
• Keep electric connections and hydraulic
connections separated. Hydraulic and con-
densate drain connections must be on the
side opposite that with electric connec-
tions. Before installing the unit, make sure
the following conditions are fulfilled:
Assembly place:
• Install in indoor environments.
• The wall or the ceiling must withstand the
weight of the unit.
• The installation must not constitute a haz-
ard for people.
• The place of installation must be provided
with the hydraulic connections of the heat-
ing and/or cooling system.
• The place of installation must be provided
with electric connection or plugs.
• The place of installation must be provided
with connection to the condensate drain in
the case that the unit must operate in cool-
ing mode.
• The unit must be installed in a position that
facilitates routine maintenance (cleaning of
the filter) and special maintenance, as well
as access to the air relief valve on the frame
side (connections side).
• The place of installation must have the
minimum and maximum ambient tempera-
ture limit specified in the table "Operating
limits".
• Do not install the unit in rooms where
inflammable gases or acid or alkaline
substances are present that can perma-
nently damage the copper-aluminium heat
exchangers or internal plastic components.
• Do not install the unit in workshops or
kitchens, where oil vapours mixed with
the treated air can deposit on the heat
exchanger coils, reducing their perfor-
mance, or on the internal parts of the unit,
thus damaging the plastic components.
• The position must ensure sufficient space
for intake and supply air flow.
• For wall-mounted installation with suction

and condensate drain connections must be
on the side opposite that with electric con-
nections.
ATTENTION: the electric connections, togeth-
er with installation of the fan coils and their
accessories must only be performed by
technicians who have the technical-pro-
fessional requisites for installation, trans-
formation, extension and maintenance of
the systems and who can verify these func-
tions in terms of safety and functionality (in
accordance with the national laws in force
from below, maintain a minimum distance
from the floor of 80 mm.
• In the case of floor installation with feet,
refer to the instructions supplied with the
accessory.
• The unit must be installed in a position that
allows the air to be distributed throughout
the room and there must be no obstacles
(curtains or objects) along the passage of
the air from the flow and suction grids.
• The units prepared for connections with air
ducts have a series of accessories for con-
nection with the ducts.
When choosing the place of installation, take
into account their features, dimensions and
technical spaces necessary for installation
and maintenance operations.
Hydraulic connections:
• Hot and/or cold water conduits must be
in the correct position and the diameter
of the hydraulic connections must be that
specified in this manual.
• Hydraulic connections are usually locat-
ed to the left of the unit (front view).
The versions with 2-circuit coils for
4-pipe system are not reversible, ver-
sions with both hydraulic connections
on the left and on the right are available.
• In order to avoid dripping during the cool-
ing operation, it is recommended to prop-
erly insulate water pipelines or to install
the suitable auxiliary condensate collection
tray, available as accessory.
• If the valve is installed, the water minimum
temperature probe can be installed in two
positions, :
- in its seat in the coil,
- on the flow pipe upstream of the valve.
Refer to the thermostat manual before
choosing the position of the water mini-
mum temperature probe, according to the
preferred controlled logic.
Condensate drain connections:
• If you want to use the fan coil in cooling
operation mode it is mandatory to connect
it to a condensate drain system.
• The condensate drain system must be sized
accordingly to this manual.
Electric connections:
• The electric circuit must be equipped
with an earth connection and a protection
device sized to power the unit.
• The electric connection must always be on
the side opposite the hydraulic connection
in the country of installation).
ATTENTION: • Install a device, master switch
or electric plug that allows disconnecting
the appliance's power supply.
ATTENTION: Refer to all the documentation
before starting the installation.
side.
• The unit is equipped with a terminal board
for electric connections (power supply,
valves, control panel, etc.).
• If you want to use a wired control panel of
a centralised control system, the position
must be reached by the connection cables.
Connection to electric motors:
• Always refer to the wiring diagrams of the
appliance and of the control panel.
• The connections between the electric
motor and the control panel must comply
with the wiring diagrams.
• Some control panels may have speeds
encoded with different numbers with
respect to the motor, always and only refer
to the definitions of Minimum, Medium
and Maximum speed.
• Some fan coils are equipped with 6- or
7-speed upgraded motor.
Electric connections, specified on the termi-
nal board on the side of the fan coil, indi-
cate 3 speeds.
The units come ready to run in standard con-
figuration with 3 preset speeds.
To change the speed set, modify the connec-
tions on the connectors located directly on
the motor.
To access the motor remove the filter and
the frontal protections.
It is recommended to configure the speeds
during installation.
Attention: After completing the installation
check the operation of the condensate
drain system, the seal of the hydraulic fit-
tings, the insulation of ducts and pipelines.
Run an operating test.
