Description
Note: Your system auto-configures for whatever
cable you use: RS-232, RS-485, Ethernet, or
USB.
When connected via RS-232/RS-485 cable:
The menu allows you to set the RS-232 Hand-
shaking: Enable CTS holdoff option, the port
Baud Rate, and the Extended passthrough
mode: On at Startup option.
The defaults are:
Enable CTS holdoff: Checked (does not send
to host unless CTS is active from the host)
Baud Rate: 38400
On at startup: Unchecked
When connected via USB cable:
No configuration is required, although the menu
for configuration in RS-232 mode is shown.
Press Accept or Cancel to return to the main Setup
menu.
Enter a password to insure that the setup can only
be changed by someone who has the password.
(There is no default password.) Once a password is
entered and confirmed, it is necessary to have the
password to perform any future changes to the
setup. Do not forget your password! If you do, you
will not be able to change the setup.
Cancel exits to the Setup menu. Clear deletes all
characters entered. Enter saves the information
and returns to the Setup menu.
This selection toggles the sound effects on and off.
When the sound is on, PIN numbers make a sound
when pressed, and the MSR makes a sound when
a card is swiped. The default is Sound on.
This displays an analog clock. Adjust the clock by
increasing or decreasing the hours and minutes.
The seconds can be zeroed by pressing the zero
button, then pressing Done. The default is 12:00.
