9.1.2 Changing the motor
(pump version with standard motor)

• Reset the fuse.
• Comply with the commissioning measures, see chapter 8 "Commis-
sioning" on page 37.
To change/dismantle the motor for pumps with a standard motor,
please refer to Fig. 3, (Item 41):
• Disconnect the system from the power and secure it against being
switched on.
• Close the shut-off valves in front of and behind the pump.
• Depressurise the pump by opening the bleed valve (Item 9).
WARNING! Danger due to extremely hot or extremely cold pressu-
rised fluid!
Depending on the temperature of the fluid and the system pres-
sure, when the venting screw is opened completely, extremely hot
or extremely cold fluid in liquid or vapour form may escape or shoot
out at high pressure.
• Always exercise caution when opening the venting screw.
• Disconnect the motor if the cable for dismantling the motor is too
short.
• Loosen the grub screws (Item 4) on the plug shaft (Item 12).
• Remove the motor by loosening the flange screws (Item 13/14/15).
To install the motor for pumps with a standard motor, please refer to
Fig. 3:
• Secure the (new) motor in place with the flange screws (Item 13/14/
15). When doing this observe the tightening torques specified in the
following table:

• Push the forked spacer (Fig. 4, Item A) between the lantern and plug
shaft. The forked spacer must sit there without any play.
• Secure the plug shaft (Item 12) in place with the grub screws (Item 4).
When doing this observe the tightening torques specified in the fol-
lowing table:

• Fix the grub screws in place with adhesive (e.g.LOCK AN 302 WEICON
adhesive)
• Remove the forked spacer again.
• Connect the motor.
• Open the valves in front of and behind the pump.
• Reset the fuse.
