RECESSING IN FIREPLACES
First of all, place the device on the fire bed of the fireplace.
Spread a line of fire-sealant paste (resistant to 800°C) on
the bottom of the collar (at the top). Then move the device
to its final position. The sliding can be made easier by
using two 2/3 mm thick sheet metal guides placed under
the appliance, which will be removed when positioning
is completed (Fig. 5.9).
5.10 TELESCOPIC PIPE CONNECTION
Case of installation on existing fireplaces.
5.10.1 Firstly open the door A, and sequentially remove the
cements: B (back wall), C (side walls) and D (upper top)
(Fig. 5.10.1)
5.10.2 Loosen the fixing screws G; remove the support and
catalysts in order to gain access to the fume outlet hole
(Fig. 5.10.2)
5.10.3 Insert your hand into the machine through the fumes
outlet and pull down the rod fixed in the telescopic pipe
and insert it into the appropriate seat (Fig. 5.10.3).
Remove any sealant that may have leaked inwardly.
The flue connection will be completed as follows.
5.10.4 Reassemble support, catalysts and cements D-C-B.
