When the engine will not start:
1.Is the engine switch to the ON position?
2.Is there enough oil in the engine? (With Oil Alert system type)
3.Is the fuel valve lever to the ON position?
4.Is there fuel in the fuel tank?
5.Is gasoline reaching the carburetor?
To check, loosen the carburetor drain bolt with the fuel valve lever to
the ON position.
6.Is the spark plug in good condition?
Remove and inspect the spark plug. Clean, readjust gap and dry the
spark plug. Replace it if necessary.
7.If the engine still does not start, take the water pump to your
servicing dealer.
If any fuel is spilled, make sure the area is dry before starting the
engine. Spilled fuel or fuel vapor may ignite.
