Tighten the knob as far as it will go
Turn the knob back two notches
The helmet size can naturally also be
adjusted during a firefighting operation,
provided that all the safety procedures are
observed.
4.1.2 Adjusting the height
There are two fastenings with thirteen holes
on the left and right hand sides of the head
band at the back of the lining. They should
be adjusted until your eyes are in the middle
of the visor. The fastenings can also be used
to adjust the space between your nose and
the visor. Moving them inwards towards the
shell means a larger space between your
nose and the visor, while moving them
outwards reduces the space. This is a useful
feature for people with glasses. Before
adjusting the fastenings, set the size knob to
minimum to make them more easily
accessible.
