The first classic chronograph movement to be
entirely developed and manufactured in-house
at Patek Philippe's own workshops, the caliber
CH 29-535 PS – launched in 2009 – is distin-
guished by its traditional architecture (column
wheel, horizontal clutch, and manual winding)
combined with six patented innovations includ-
ing optimized tooth profiles, enhanced penetration
adjustment between the clutch and the chrono-
graph wheel, and self-centering reset hammers.
It also boasts several special technical features
that improve both functionality and performance,
such as an instantaneous 30-minute counter. An
ultra-modern take on a traditional chronograph
movement. The large four-arm and four-weight
Gyromax
balance beats at an increased frequency of
®
4 Hz (28,800 semi-oscillations per hour), guarantee-
ing exceptional operational stability. The movement
has a power reserve of 65 hours (50 hours when in
chronograph mode). Its sophisticated aesthetic and
refined details (boasting a classic S-shaped clutch
lever and traditional bridges, meticulously crafted
with beveled edges and Geneva striping) are visible
through a sapphire crystal case back. The dial is dis-
tinguished by its exceptional readability, boasting a
30-minute counter at 3 o'clock, positioned slightly
below the central axis, directly opposite the sub-
sidiary seconds at 9 o'clock. A stunning blend of
technical excellence, aesthetic perfection, and arti-
sanal craftsmanship.
