Be sure to set time, date, and count formats before placing special functions into messages.

You can store up to fifty two 40-character messages. Print delay, character width, and
product count information are also stored with each specific message.
Shifted Character: Example: %
Press and release the Shift key before pressing the desired character.
Number Lock:
Press and release the Shift key then press the Up Arrow key to lock the number keys on.
Repeat to unlock the numbers.
Accented Character: Example: É

Inserting a 7x5 Square:
Position the cursor where you want the square to appear in your message and press the
Purge key.
Inserting the Time:
Position the cursor where you want the time to appear in your message and press the Clock
key.
Inserting the Date:
Position the cursor where you want the date to appear in your message and press the
Calendar key.
Inserting the Expiration Date:
Position the cursor where you want the expiration date to appear in your message and press
the Shift key followed by the Calendar key. Select the specific expiration date by pressing
1 or 2.

1. Create or edit message number: is displayed.
To create a new message, key in a two-digit number from 01 to 52. Messages are
automatically stored when you select the message storage number. The message will
remain stored at this location until you save a new message with this same number.
To edit an existing message, key in the storage number for that message.

Press the Return key. If this is a new message, a flashing cursor is displayed.
If this is an existing message, the message is displayed.
3. Key in your new message or edit your existing one. Use the cursor keys to navigate
through a message. Refer to the following for key combinations of special characters
and functions:
