C. HANDLING
1. Opening: Rest both hands on each of the seat upholstery support rails and press down until the seat and
back upholsteries become taut. Lower the footplates into the using position. As a safety measure, the footplates
will always be in an upright position before sitting or getting out of the chair in a forward movement. Warning:
Do not place your fingers between the seat upholstery and the seat tubes when opening or folding the wheelchair
2. Folding: First flip up the (platform) footplate or the individual footplates. Take hold of the sling from underneath
in the middle and pull upwards. The wheelchair will then fold up. To fold your wheelchair until it is as small as
possible, e.g., to put into a car, you can remove the footrests (depending on the model). For this purpose, open
the latch from the out-side and swing the footrest to the side. Then the footrest only has to be drawn out of the
frame tubing.

components on the back-rest tubing and pull back the push handles.
4. Reclining back (4° - 55°) (Fig. 2): By pulling the 2 levers at the same time the backrest is released and can
be set to the required position. Releasing the 2 levers will lock the backrest automatically in the new position.
To bring the backrest back to the upright position, just move it (no release necessary) to the required position.
Caution: The reclining back is only to be used in combination with the active anti-tips setting
Caution: The reclining back is only to be used in combination with a stabilizer bar. Please always make sure that
the stabilizer bar is locked in place on both sides.
Caution: Before folding the wheelchair, make sure that the stabilizer bar is removed
Caution: In order to avoid any reduction in the cable function, you must make sure that the cables are not
completely taut.
Caution: When adjusting the back angle, be careful not to get your fingers caught.
Caution: Before adjusting the back angle, put the anti tip tubes in to the active position

and adjust it to the desired height. As soon as you release the button, the legrest will click back into place. To
lower: Lift your lower leg and press the release button to unlock the legrest to lower it. As soon as you release
the button, the legrest will click back into place. CAUTION: The elevating legrest is not allowed to be adjusted
into the lowest position to avoid any interference with the casters. CAUTION: Keep hands clear of the adjustment
mechanism between the frame and the movable parts of the legrest while elevating or lowering the legrest.
