Prerequisites
• Ensure you have a Phillips #1 screwdriver.
• Ensure the Secure Router 2330 is powered off. You cannot hot swap internal
components.
• Ensure you have an antistatic bag or sheet available for the SCIM that you are
removing.
Procedure steps
1. Remove the Secure Router 2330 top cover. See Removing the Secure Router 2330
2. Remove the screw that secures the SCIM module to the Main Board.
3. Grasping the edges of the SCIM module, pull the module up and off of the Main
4. If you are not installing a SCIM module at this time, replace the chassis top cover.

Installing the Secure Router 2330 internal PVIM module

Use the procedure in this section to install an internal PVIM module.
Prerequisites
• Ensure you have a PVIM module ready to install before opening the chassis top cover.
• Ensure you have a Phillips #1 screwdriver.
• Ensure the Secure Router 2330 is powered off. You cannot hot swap internal
components.
Procedure steps
1. Remove the Secure Router 2330 top cover. See Removing the Secure Router 2330
2. Locate the internal PVIM module connector slot.
