on the outside of the bed base, at the head part of the bed. (figure 6)
B Take care that the pin slips in the notch of the bushing.
C Slip the loop belt of the triangle handle over the upper section of the lifting pole
between the two small vertical pins.
D The length of the triangle rein can be adapted with the buckle. Choose a length
that the patient can easily reach in lying position. Check that the rein is fixed
safely.

Assembling the side rails

MILANO model (wooden side rails)
1. On one side, insert an axis of the side rail into the
sliding channel provided for this purpose at the head
and foot of the bed. Make sure that the triangular side
is pointing upwards. Slide the axis upwards until you
feel it click into place.
2. Then place the two side bars side by side and engage
the four pins of the second axis into the ends of the
bars. Check that the rounded edges of the bars and the
triangular tip of the axes are pointed in the same
direction.
3. Then engage the pins of the axis already affixed to the
bed into the open end of the bars and guide the other
axis from the bottom into the remaining free sliding
channel. Also engage this axis until you feel it click into
place.

4. By lifting the side rail and pressing the button recessed
in the head and foot of the bed, you can unlock the side
rail and lower it.
PARIS model (metal side rails)
Comment: when the patient is very small and mobile, he/she may slip
through the space between the side rail and the head or foot base part
of the bed.
1. Always position the side rail on the correct side. Follow the arrow
marks on the frame to position them correctly. Side rails must
always be lowered at the foot of the bed.
2. Unscrew the knurled screws (A) on the fixing clips of the side rail,
so that it can be attached to the lateral tubes of the bed base.
Check that the fixing clips on either side are located between the
frame pillars without covering them. Then firmly tighten the
knurled screws. There must be no gap in the region of the rail
clips.
3. When you pull button (B) outwards (figure 9), the side rail
automatically releases; you can then lower it towards the foot of
the bed. When you raise it again, the lock clicks automatically into
place.
