Adjusting the side rails
B
Figure 20
If the side rail is raised to the highest position, always make sure that it is safely locked.
When raising/locking the side rails in the high position or lowering/locking in the low position, make
sure that no parts of the patient's body become trapped. This instruction applies particularly to the
space at the head of the bed.
Do not let go the side rails while you lower them, they may move down too fast. This would
cause a risk of hurting the patient and/or damage the side rails.
7.3
Hand control unit
The electrical control unit supplied with the bed presents a service factor of 15 % for not more than
2 minutes of continuous operation. This must then be followed by an interval of at least 14
minutes. Moreover, the hand control must not be activated more than 5 times per minute. We
advise you to comply with this instruction in order to increase the life-span of your Thuasne care bed.
Do not operate several keys at the same time, to avoid to load the system and to cause damage in
consequence.
When you adjust the head or leg part of the bed base, check that the patient's limbs (arm or leg)
do not extend over the edge of the bed or the patient to avoid an injury.
