BEFORE STARTING

Inserting / changing batteries

Please insert the supplied batteries before taking the device into operation, so that, in the
event of a power-out, the data that has been stored is not deleted.
Rechargeable batteries may also be used in the timer switch.
Please note:
• Rechargeable batteries are not charged up, when they are inserted in the timer switch.
• Make sure not to mix different battery types, and do not insert new and used batteries
at the same time.
• For preventing undesirable loss of data, please check the recommended shelflife and the
charge state of the batteries.
CAUTION
Always remove a timer switch from the mains socket, before inserting, removing or exchanging
batteries
Remove the battery case cover on the backside of the device. To do this, press both retainers
simultaneously.
