MECHANICAL VENTILATION (Fig. 4)
In case of forced ventilation, provide an installation with the following features:
Q = Air capacity in m
G = Mass in kg of the refrigerating load of the system
Safety devices
Install the devices listed below:
-
Emergency circuit breaker or cutoff switch, placed outside the engine room near the access door to switch
off electrical power to the entire premises;
-
Fire extinguisher placed near the emergency circuit breaker for prompt intervention. Should be suitable for
powered equipment and have the capacity indicated for the installations located in the room;
-
System of detection of leaks of refrigerating gas capable of setting off an optical or acoustic alarm;
-
Earcaps for noise protection when entering the engine room with the unit on;
-
Warning sign on the access door indicating the type and total quantity of coolant.
11. Electrical connection
Electrical connections should be made respecting the diagrams supplied with the unit.
Any alterations must be authorized by the manufacturer.
-
The installation should be safeguarded upstream by an automatic magnetothermal omnipolar cutoff switch
with adequate characteristics serving as the general circuit breaker for the line.
-
Instruct the operator as to the position of the switch so that it can be reached promptly in case of
EMERGENCY.
-
The electrical system should be grounded through the terminal located on the side of the circuit
breaker and marked
-
First make sure the mains voltage corresponds to the rating on the rating plate (Fig. 2).
-
Make sure the power line has cables of the cross section recommended by the manufacturer and protected
against overload and dispersion to mass according to the laws in force.
-
For power lines longer than 4 - 5 m, increase the cross section suitably.
-
The installer should provide anchoring devices for all cables entering and leaving the unit.
-
Respect the colors of the wires and order of the phases.
The automatic magnetothermal switch should be designed so as not to open the circuit on the neutral
without at the same time opening it on the phases and in any case the opening of the contacts must be at
least 3 mm.
Pay attention to the cutoff value of the differential in order to guarantee selectivity.
Note: All these operations should be carried out by specialized technical personnel only.
12. Hydraulic connection (Fig. 6)
The unit is equipped with a flanged intake manifold (1) and delivery pipeline (2).
-
After positioning the unit prepare the connections for the circuits of the machine using the intake manifold
supplies and pipelines adequate for the power of the refrigerators connected.
-
Fit the antivibration joints and interception valves between the unit and the installation pipelines.
-
Weld the pipes with the maximum care.
-
Before filling the circuit with the coolant, clean the internal parts carefully and test the pressure in the lines.
-
Separate the unit from the parts subject to testing using the interception valves.
-
Every unit is tested before delivery at a pressure of 7.5 and 11 bar.
Note: All these operations should be carried out by specialized technical personnel only.
