Troubleshooting / Safety
11.2 Check direction of rotation according
to the adjustment instructions of the drive
manufacturer. Possibly change the phases
EN
at the terminal strip.
11.3 The drive can now be started up with-
out any danger.
The limit switch settings must be complet-
ed according to the separate instructions
issued by the drive manufacturer.

Troubleshooting
12.1 The door cannot be operated after
switching off the limit switch.
-
Safety limit switch has triggered. Turn
the door back with the emergency
hand crank. Turn the safety limit switch
to disengage it, and check direction of
rotation.
12.2 Motor turns in the wrong direction.
-
Exchange two phases.
12.3 The setting of the
door is mis adjusted.
-
End switch cam is loose. End switch
unit is defect.
12.4 The motor does not work.
-
Anti run-off device has triggered.
-
Control voltage interrupted because
emergency crank pushed in. Pull crank
out again.
-
Thermal protection has triggered.
Let motor cool down.
-
Check fuses.
-
Measure phase voltage.
-
Control power circuit interrupted.

Safety regulations
Warning
In accordance with the European
standard EN 12453 – Safety in use of
power- operated doors – the following
points are to be taken into considerati-
on during the installation of operators
for electrically operated roller doors:
+ WARNING +++ WARNING +++ WARNING +
13.1 Electrically operated systems must
have a main switch or plug and socket
connection, which when disconnected
breaks the connection with all poles.
The main switch must be safeguarded from
unauthorised or mistaken switching on.
4
Warning
Any electrical work must be carried
out according to IEC 60364 and the ap-
plicable national regulations. Electri-
cal work must only be carried out by
qualified electricians.
+ WARNING +++ WARNING +++ WARNING +
We recommend including the entire electri-
cal circuit of the door in the monitoring
range of residual current operated device
(circuit breakers).
13.2 The operating elements must be
operated by authorized and trained person-
nel. They must be fitted in such a way that
the traffic approach zones can be visually
checked in both directions.
When the operator switch/push buttons
are released, the door movement must
come to a standstill immediately (dead
man's control).
To ensure that the dead man function is
properly working, observe the information
in the control description.
13.3 If for special reasons the traffic
approach zones cannot visually be moni-
tored from the control point, then devices
are to be provided to prevent injuries caused
by getting crushed in the door (e.g. contact
strips).
If dead man controls or safety devices
are used, then no additional circuits must be
connected which have an opening or closing
function (e.g. remote control or time
control).
13.4 If there is error-controlled personal
protective equipment, a pulse control can be
fitted instead of the dead man control
required under point 13.2.
With doors of less than 2,500 mm in height
as well as link grille shutters there is a
risk of persons becoming caught up in the
system. By using suitable safety measures,
e.g. light barriers, here again it is possible
for pulse control to assume the opening and
closing movements.
13.5 On conclusion of the electrical work,
all functions are to be checked, particularly
the safety devices.
In addition, after initial commissioning of
the door system the safety devices are to
be checked regularly.
Operating safety must be checked at least
once every twelve months for wear and
safety of the whole system, to be carried out
by a qualified expert).
Please keep these assembly, operating and maintenance instructions as long as you use the product!
Maintenance and Operating

Maintenance and operating
instructions for roller doors
General instructions
Initial commissioning must be carried out by
qualified staff and entered in the system
logbook. The door system must not be
operated until the manual has been read
thoroughly and all functions are known.
No-one is allowed to stay in the door zone or
to deposit any items in this area.
The door opening must only be passed when
the door is at a standstill. Always pay atten-
tion to the inner passage height.
If uninstructed persons have access to the
door, corresponding warning signs must be
fitted to draw attention to these measures.
In this case, the door must only be controlled
by key switches, insofar as no personal
protection systems are available.
If necessary, control elements and devices
must be made child-proof by means of
organisational measures.
The door system must only be operated with
adequate lighting which ensures that all
door movements can be recognised in good
time by all users. If necessary, the door
owner must arrange for additional signal
systems to be fitted. The lighting system is a
third party responsibility.
The owner must take precautions for
emergency measures to ensure that the
door and control point can still be reached
without any danger (e.g. provision of ladders,
scaffolding, working platforms).
The door must only be used by the intended
persons or systems and operated with
intact safety devices for its proper and
intended use. When there are visible defects
(damage, wear, loose or broken parts,
electrical faults or similar), the system must
be switched off and secured.
When the door is closed, no objects or items
must be placed leaning against the door.
Always ensure that no objects or items can
fall into the area of the door.
The bottom beam must not be blocked. It
must not be used to fasten any objects, to
pull people up, to change parts or any other
improper use.
The door must only be operated for the
operating time stated in the data sheet
under specified external influences such
as ambient temperature, relative humidity,
aggressive and explosive atmosphere. Care
must be taken to ensure compliance with
the maintenance intervals stated in the data
sheet.
Warning
Maintenance, tests and repairs must
only be carried out by suitably quali-
fied staff. For this purpose, the system
must be switched off and secured to
prevent it from being operated in an
uncontrolled manner.
+ WARNING +++ WARNING +++ WARNING +
If necessary, the area around the door must
be sealed off from the normal users.
