The suction hoses of the discharge system „C-A 4"
are to be shortened by approx. 230 mm before fitting
to safety tanks DWT with production numbers
1342..., 1344... and 1346...
5.6 Filling and discharge fittings
for CEMO - individual tanks
5.6.1 Dome lid with 4 straight threaded sleeves,
e.g. for clean (unused) oil, heating oil etc.
=> Fit according to drawing no. 130.0039.111
on page 37
• Screw the heating oil suction fitting into the 1 ½"
threaded sleeve. The suction hose is to be short-
ened by approx. 110 mm before fitting to safety
tanks DWT with production numbers 1341...,
1343..., 1345... and 1347... When installing safety
tanks DWT with production numbers 1342...,
1344... and 1346..., the suction hose should be
shorted by 340 mm.
• Screw the limit indicator into the 1" threaded sleeve
• Fit the filling line to the 2" pipe connection that
extends into the tank (see the sticker)
• Screw the breather line into the 2" threaded sleeve
5.6.2 Dome lid with 2 sloping threaded nipples
and 2 straight threaded sleeves,
e.g. for diesel, clean oil, etc.
=> Fit according to drawing no. 130.0049.121
on page 37
• Fit the suction line or pump to the vertical 2"
threaded sleeve.
• Screw the limit indicator into the 1" threaded
sleeve.
• Fit the filling line to the 2" pipe connection that
extends into the tank (see the sticker).
• Fit the ventilation pipe to the 2" pipe connection.
5.6.3 Dome lid with suction pipe
for old oil:
=> Fit according to drawing no. 130.0059.181
or 134.0059.181 on page 37
• Screw the pipe double nipple with tanker coupling
on to the suction pipe with a 2" sleeve.
• Screw the limit indicator into the 1" threaded
sleeve.
• Fit the filling line to the 1½" pipe connection that
extends into the tank (see the sticker).
• Fit the ventilation pipe to the 2" pipe connection.

Fitting of the high-vacuum leak detector
VL 320-420 (optional)
The double jacket of the CEMO safety DWT tank is
monitored using the specially provided high-vacuum
leak detector, model "VL 320-420".
Observe the instructions in the operating manual for
the leak detector VL 320-420. The annual opera-
tional test, which is to be carried out by a competent
person and is referred to in the manual, includes the
checking of connections for the tank leak detector.
6.1 Fitting of the high-vacuum leak detector
VL 320-420 to a stand-alone tank
=> Fitting according to the drawing on page 41
and the leak detector operating manual
When operating using the high-vacuum leak detec-
tor, VL 320-420, the suction and measurement line
is connected to the highest point of the monitoring
space. To do this, the yellow protective plug must be
removed from the tank. The hose connection glands
for fitting the measurement and suction line are then
screwed in. They are contained in the accessories
package of the leak indicator. The exhaust line of
the leak detector must be fed to the site-provided
ventilation pipe.
6.2 Fitting of the high-vacuum leak detector VL 320-420
to a battery system or several stand-alone tanks
=> Fitting according to the drawing on page 41
and the leak detector operating manual
Several tanks may be connected to the high-vacuum
leak detector VL 320-420. To do this the yellow
protective plug must be removed from the tank. The
text valve (brass screw plug) is screwed into the
right tank connection. The hose connection gland for
connecting the suction line is screwed in on the left.
The corresponding accessory parts are contained in
the accessories package of the leak indicator. The
exhaust line of the leak detector must be fed to the
site-provided ventilation pipe.
7.
Use of CEMO safety DWT tanks
7.1 Operation in heating installations
7.1.1 Filling
For testing prior to first operation, reference should
be made to section 5.3 of the General Construction
Inspection Approval no. Z-40.11-280.
When first filling, check the whole installation for leaks.
To prevent any faults, turn off the burner. Turn on
again approx. 1 hour after filling.
