Furthermore this generator can be used for welding with stick
electrodes of diameters from 1.5-5mm both in DC or AC.
The welding current can be set with continuity from minimum
to maximum values (of 5-250 A), using a potentiometer or by
remote controls.
The generator is equipped with :
- electro fan for cooling live parts
- thermostatic protection against thermic overloads (yellow
led 'ON')
- H.F. generator with appropriate protection systems and
external control switch for:
a striking the arc in TIG/DC without electrode-piece contact
b striking and maintaining the arc in TIG/AC (syncronized
with arc voltage in order to avoid extinction of the arc
during the welding of light alloys)
- high noise immunity control module with external controls
with the following functions:
a mode selection :
- electrodes
- TIG torch pushbutton (2 strokes)
- TIG torch pushbutton ON-OFF/ON-OFF (4 strokes)
b HF mode selection :
- OFF
- HF striking (DC) with automatic cut off when arc
established
- automatic HF striking in AC
c gas electrovalve control with following functions :
- pre-gas with time regulation potentiometer
- post-gas with time regulation potentiometer
d thyristor ignition syncronized and setting of the welding
current (phase control); the following are accessible on
the machine :
- strike-up pre-current potentiometer
- main welding current potentiometer
- down-slope time potentiometer
- ''Balance'' potentiometer
- Mains cable with adequate load capacity
- Work cable with quick connection and collet
- TIG torch equipped with accessories, gas connection,
control pushbutton switch, and quick power connection (on
request with water cooling)
- Gas pressure gauge with flowmeter
- Quick clamp (loosened) to be connected to collet if
necessary.
TECHNICAL DATA
Technical data relative to the performance of the machine
may be found on a plate (back panel) with the following
symbols, whose meaning is explained below.
1- EUROPEAN standard of reference for the safety and
construction of arc welding machines.
2- Symbol for the internal structure of the machine:
transformer -rectifier.
3- Symbol for expected welding procedure: Tig welding.
4- Symbol for the power supply line: single phase
alternating voltage.
5- Protection rating for the case: IP22. It is protected against
solid foreign bodies of a diameter of <24.5mm (e.g.
fingers) and against vertically falling water drops with an
inclination to the vertical of up to 30°.

[U2 = (10+0,05 I ) V] that the machine can deliver during
welding.
- X: Duty cycle: indicates the time for which the machine
can deliver the corresponding current (same column).
Expressed in %,on the basis of a 10min cycle (e.g. 30%
= 6 minutes work, 4 minutes wait; and so on).
- A/V-A/V: Indicates the welding current adjustment
range (minimum - maximum) at the corresponding arc
voltage.

NOTE: To lift the welding machines described in this manual,
refer to Fig. N (if applicable).
INSTALLATION
SITE
Locate the machine in an area where openings for cooling air
are not obstructed (forced circulation with fan); check that
conductive dusts, corrosive vapours, humidity etc., will not
enter machine.
CONNECTION TO MAINS
-
Before making any electrical connection check that the
mains voltage ratings of the data table correspond with the
voltage of the workplace. The machine is to be fed with two
conductors (2 phases or phase-neutral) plus a third
separate one designed for the protective earth connection
(PE); this conductor is coloured yellow/green.

WARNING
Failure to observe the above rules will make ineffective
the safety system installed by the manufacturer (Class
