TROUBLE SHOOTING
Stop using this equipment immediately if any of the following problems occur, as it may cause per-
sonal injury. Any repairs or replacement must be done by a qualified persan or an authorized service
center only.
Problem
Ram does not operate when handle is
pumped.
Ram will not hold load.
Ram reluctant to lower when load re-
moved.
Ram will not extend to full range of
stroke.
Ram tries to tilt to one side.
HYDRAULIC CYLINDER KIT
Possible Cause
Release valve not tightly closed.
Air in the pump.
The steel ball is immersed inside for
too long time.
Release valve not tightly closed.
Malfunction in pump such as dirt in-
side valve mechanism.
Oil reservoir overfilled.
Piston binding.
Overextend the ram.
Low oil level.
Incorrect of connection or un balance
of the footing.
Available hydraulic oil capacity of 4 Ton pump 250ml±5ml
Available hydraulic oil capacity of 10 Ton pump 500ml±5ml
Solution
Firmly close the release valve.
See Filling and Bleeding Hydraulic
Fluid in Page 19.
Please follow the steps :
1. Open the release valve by turning
it counter-clockwise,pump up the
handle 10-15 times.
2. Close the release valve by turning
it clockwise, pump up the handle
5-10 times.
3. Repeat step 1 and 2 for about 3
times.
Firmly close the release valve.
Please follow the steps :
1. Open the release valve by turning
it counter-clockwise,pump up the
handle 10- 15 times
2. Close the release valve by turning
it clockwise, pump up the handle
5-10 times.
3. Repeat the step 1 and 2.
Drain oil to correct level.
Clean and lubricate moving parts.
Replace ram.
Add hydraulic oil to the reservoir.
Stop work and ra-position ram and
base, ensuring it is well supported
and as close to perpendicular to the
repair as possible.
