MUST be kept constantly within reach in the location where the unit is used.
• You are reminded that installation must be done exclusively by qualified personnel, that is, personnel whose training,
instruction, experience, knowledge of standards, regulations, accident prevention procedures, and operating and service
conditions, makes them capable of carrying out all the works necessary, while being aware of and avoiding any possible
danger and/or damage.
The maximum pressure differentials allowed in the "CHARACTERISTIC DATA" table must never be exceeded. They are valid only
under the following conditions;
as a compressor:
gas suction temperature of 20°C (+68°F) and atmospheric pressure of 1013 mbar (ass.) (29.92 In Hg ) measured at the intake
suction pump:
gas suction temperature of 20°C (+68°F) measured at the intake and an atmospheric counterpressure of 1013 mbar (ass.)
(29.92 InHg).
When the unit is used to channel flammable gases it is better to install it in an open location or where the air is changed by forced
ventilation.
If installed outdoors, protect the unit against exposure to sunlight.
The characteristics of the compressors and suction pumps are subject to variation depending on the following factors:
-
variation in the absolute pressure at the intake or delivery compared to the reference conditions (1013 mbar ass.);
-
operation as a mixed system (vacuum at the intake and counterpressure at the same time at the delivery);
-
channelling of gas having a specific weight and/or temperature different from the reference data (1.2 kg/m
-
variation in the speed of rotation compared to the reference value.
The ambient temperature, like the suction temperature of the
channelled gas, is allowed in the range of -15°C (+5°F) to +40°C
(+104°F) bearing in mind the following;
•
for an ambient temperature of +30°C (+86°F) reduce the
maximum
"CHARACTERISTIC DATA" table by 5%;
•
for an ambient temperature at +40°C (+104°F) reduce the
maximum
"CHARACTERISTIC DATA" table by 10%.
The graph shown to the side should be used to reduce the maximum
pressure differentials in the case of an ambient temperature between
+21°C to +40°C (from +70°F to +104°F).
It is important that the unit is installed no higher than a maximum altitude of 1000m above sea level, otherwise you should contact the
FPZ assistance department.
If the intake draws air from the environment, and if the case requires, protect the suction line on the plant with a suitable Atex filter
having a maximum filter grade of 25µm and ensure that the maximum pressure/vacuum data (max ∆P) indicated in the
CHARACTERISTIC DATA table are respected:
•
for use as a compressor subtract the pressure drop(P
∆P - P

a
•
for use as a suction pump check that the maximum vacuum is not exceeded at the suction intake.
8.2.1
PROHIBITIONS
- Use the unit in non industrial installations.
- Use the unit in locations having an Atex classification that does not comply with indications in annex II of Directive
1999/92/CE.
- Suction and channelling of aggressive, corrosive and/or harmful fluids;
- Use of the unit in conditions other than those for which the values are shown in the "CHARACTERISTIC DATA" table.
- Operation with the intake and/or delivery openings closed.
- Use of the unit without first having installed an intake filter (installation type 3, see par. 2.1).
- Use of the unit without having first installed and connected the sensors and/or regulators required to the plant.
- Use of the unit without having first correctly installed and checked the seal system of the machine.
- Modification or transformation of the unit, repairs or maintenance taken under own initiative. All maintenance work can be
done only in conformity with the content of this user manual, exclusively by qualified personnel, that is, personnel whose
