Adjusting the reclining base:
1.
Place the car seat on its back and grip the base locking bar with your hand as
shown in the diagram. Pull the base locking bar upwards (Fig. 1).
2.
Pull or push the base in or out of the bottom of the car seat. When the base is in
the desired position, release the base locking bar (Fig. 2).
3.
Check the base is locked in position by pushing or pulling it (Fig. 3).
Selecting the correct height for the safety harness shoulder straps
WARNING:

ONLY use the top three shoulder harness positions for forward-facing
children.

Confirming the correct harness height:
Rear-facing (Fig. 1): Straps should be in the nearest slot at or below the level of the
child's shoulder.
Forward-facing (Fig. 2): Straps should be in the nearest slot above the level of the
child's shoulder.
Important: If the harness height is not correct, you must adjust it before using the car
seat with that child. See page 15 for adjusting the harness height.
Maximum height:
Rear-facing: The child is too tall for the car seat if the top of the head is less than 3.8
cm from the top of the car seat or if the child is more than 122 cm tall.
Forward-facing: The child is too tall for the car seat:
•
if the tops of the child's ears are above the back of the car seat
•
if the child's shoulders touch the bottom of the headwings
•
if the child is more than 144 cm tall (Fig. 3)

Lift the flap on the front of the seat cover. Lift the harness lock upwards and hold,
now pull the harness shoulder straps outwards to loosen the harness (Fig. 1).

From the back of the car seat, remove the ends of the shoulder straps from the
metal harness yoke (Fig. 2).
3.
From the front of the car seat, pull the harness shoulder straps through the front
of the cover (Fig. 3).
4.
Feed the ends of the harness shoulder straps through the correct harness height
slots in the cover and car seat shell.
5.
Check that the harness shoulder straps have not become twisted and are both
slotted through slots at the same height.
6.
Attach the looped ends of the harness shoulder straps back onto the metal
harness yoke (Fig. 4).
Important: Make sure the loop ends of BOTH straps are threaded completely onto the
metal harness yoke.
7.
Pull the harness adjuster strap to check that the harness will tighten (Fig. 5).

push the sides in or pull them outwards
(Fig. 1).
