people will stand either side of the pool, and holding a tape measure above the pool, to
determine the location of the anchors on the ground below. As described, use the secure pegs
as temporary markers, before finally hammering in the anchors. Measure the distances 1)
between the anchors, and 2) between the anchors and the pool (from which you know the
sizes) accurately and adjust the spots of the secure pegs if necesarry.
c. When you are satisfied that the measurements are correct, hammer the anchors into the
ground, ensuring that the rotating blocks are facing the outside of the tent. (This is important,
as if they face inwards, the tent will loose its stability and may not retain its shape).
As you hammer in the blocks, pause occasionally to check that they are straight and accurate.
Adjust as necessary.
As the block nears the ground, make sure that the pins are facing upwards, do not hammer the
pins into the ground. Do not hammer the anchor too deep into the ground, allow enough space
so that the blocks with pins can freely rotate.
Step 4: Inserting the tent poles
The tent comes in 3 sections: 2 x curved head-section and 1 x straight middle section. The tent poles
now need to be inserted into the blue / grey tunnels of the head-sections.
a. Fold out the curved head-section of canvas on to a
soft surface (a rough surface may damage the canvas),
in such a way that it forms a half moon. See image.
The canvas layer with the SunnyTent logo should be on top (though you see the backside of it).
These head-sections are now ready for the pole sets to be inserted.
Note: Please do not lay the tent foil on the ground in direct sunlight. This may result in damage
to the tent foil.
There are 10 pole sets, 5 for each half moon. The head sections of the tent have 4 tent tunnels
each. In 3 of these tunnels you will insert one pole set and in the 4th / bottom tunnel, 2 pole
sets side-by-side.
b. Start at the upper tunnel (on which you see the back side of the SunnyTent logo sticker). Two
people, working together, will Insert one pole set in this tunnel. One person stays at the entrance
of the tunnel and pushes the pole set into the tunnel. The other person moves with the pole
set, making sure the tunnel stays tight, ensuring the pole set can slide through easily.
Attention:
➢ Never pull on the pole set! As they may separate from each other. Only push!
➢ If you are right-handed, it is easier to push the poles through from the right, if you are left-
handed, from the left.
c. There are openings along the tent tunnels. Guide the poles carefully past these openings and
continue through the tunnel. Again, never pull the poles back. If the pole set is pushed too far
by mistake, it must be pushed back to the end point.
d. Slide the pole sets all the way through the tunnel, making sure they are sticking out equally on
both ends of the tunnel.
e. When the first pole set is inserted in the upper tunnel
completely, the first canvas layer (now with pole set)
has to be folded over, in such a way that the
next tent tunnel (until now still empty) is ready for
