set firmly to the ground). If this is the case, remove the twist peg from the ground and try
again, twisting it into the ground a quarter of a turn differently, on the second attempt.
➢ Now check if you have placed this first twist peg on the right place. If correct, the black hinge
blocks of the anchors (with hinges) will be perpendicular / at right angle to the ground. If
these blocks bend to the left or right, you must change the location of the first twist peg in
the opposite direction. Only then will your tent be nicely upright later on (and windproof).
c. Now, gently return the head-section of the tent to the ground.
d. Repeat these steps on the other head-section of your SunnyTent.
e. Do not install all 8 twist pegs now, but only the middle one of each 'head- section'.
Step 7: Placing the middle section of your tent
The middle section must be attached to both head-sections, and the 3 sections will come together
to form the oval SunnyTent.
a. Fold out the middle section between the completed head sections (still lying on the ground).
Note: Make sure it is facing in the right direction. In this case, the Velcro strap on the side flaps
should be facing the ground.
b. Now you will attach the middle section to one of the head-sections. This head-section is still
lying on the ground. The uppermost tent tunnel of it (with the 2 pole sets) has openings.
For every opening, there is a fastener on the middle section. These fasteners consist of 2 parts,
the male and the female part. At the opening, guide the male part from the bottom, coming from
behind and around the 2 pole sets of the head-section, and click it closed, so the sections are
now attached (loosening / lengthening the strap of the fastener makes this easier). Start at the
lower fastener and opening, and repeat this process until all the fasteners are closed and the
tent sections are attached.
Note: Always tighten the strap of the fastener tightly, after you have locked the fastener!
Note: Once you have reached the middle opening, you first must get the rope through the
opening (around the two poles), before using the fastener. You will need this rope later in the
installation process.
c. When you have all the fasteners securely closed, now attach the Velcro strap of the middle section
to the Velcro strap of the head-section. It is easiest if one person attaches and secures the Velcro
and the other person holds the tent in place.
Note: When you are attaching the Velcro, start at the middle and work down. Make sure that the
flap of the middle section is tightly fastened to the head-section, and evenly distributed.
No lumps and bumps.
Note: Let the straps of the 'fasteners' stick out (do not 'cram' them under the flap).
Now it is time to attach the middle section to the other head-section. Continue with the following
steps:
(If you are erecting your SunnyTent over an already established swimming pool, you will need to use eg.
a ladder. Remember to lay some protection on the floor of your pool as the ladder may damage it).
d. Make a loop at one end of the string that you passed through the middle opening of the 'head
section' at step 7b. Then pull the other end through this loop and pull the whole string through,
so that the string is firmly attached to the pole sets of the 'head section'.
e. Person 1 now stands inside the tent and takes that 'head-section' where the 'middle section' has
