not yet been attached, passed by person 2 (who lifts it up from the ground). You can pull the
'head part' with the pole sets with some force; the pole sets are strong.
f. At the same time person 2 pulls the other 'head section' upwards with the string.
g. The free end of the string must then be passed through the middle / top opening of the 'head section'
held by person 1. Then pull the two'head parts'
with the string very firmly together, so that the
'head parts' are completely upright (see image).
Then make a knot with a bow, so that the two
'head parts' are firmly attached and completely
upright. Note: This knot / bow must be easy to
open later in the set-up process.
h. Turn the 2 twist pegs in the ground at the two 'head sections' one turn counter-clockwise, so that
the tent rises slightly. This makes the following steps somewhat easier.
i. Now the 'middle section' can be attached to the other 'head part', using the fasteners and the
Velcro. Two people should do this. Start at the middle of / at the top of the pole tunnel: Stretch
the first fastener around the double pole sets and click it. You need to pull on the 'head section'
pole sets (to create tension, which is necessary to get the fastener around the poles). By making
the strap of the 'fastener' looser / longer, this is easier. Note: Do not tighten this strap yet (after
the 'fastener' is in the 'sleeve' of the fastener), do later. (see below).
j. Then move on to next fastener. Make sure that the Velcro flap at the top of the 'middle section' is
attached neatly / tightly to the Velcro of the 'head section'. You now also ensure that the flap at
the bottom of the 'middle section' is neatly wrapped around the underside of the 'head part', so
that the whole process is neatly completed.
k. Now fasten the next fastener. Pay attention:
➢ This should be the buckle on the other side of the middle. In other words: work in an alternating way,
so not first on one side from top to bottom and then on the other side, but always alternating
from side to side, one left, one right, one left, one right. If you do not do this, the tent can bend
in one direction and damage can occur to one or both of the hinge anchors and / or the pole sets.
➢ If the middle three fasteners are fastened in this way, you must tighten the straps of these three
until the 'head part' of the tent foil is tightly attached to the middle section'. Do this in alternating
fashion becoming a bit tighter as you go, so that there is no unnecessary strain on the tent foil
at any one point, so the foil is not damaged.
➢ Always secure the Velcro flap directly on the top / outside, and the other flap on the bottom /
inside. Note: The straps of the 'fasteners' can stick out a little / not 'crammed' under the flap.
l. Repeat until all fasteners and flaps are neatly secured. Now work in an alternating fashion again;
so not first on one side from top to bottom and then the next other, but always in turns on both
sides. Initially 2 people will work from the inside but as you go further down, it works best when
one person stays inside the tent and the other works outside.
m. When you are done with this, check, on the inside of the tent, whether the flap at the first 'head
section' is neatly around the pole tunnel. By doing this the tent will also neatly close there.
n. Then untie the bow / knot of the string and pull the string out of the upper openings of the two
'head sections'.
o. Rotate the twist pegs that were loosened slightly in step 7h, clockwise again, so that the 'head
sections' of the tent are once again tightly fixed to the ground.
