Push locking device towards arrow until lead seal
breaks and lock falls off.

General Remarks

To assure proper functioning the MSA AUER SSR
30/100 must be regularly checked for exterior
damage and cleaned if necessary (do not use a
metal brush!). The apparatus requires no further
maintenance work.
Since it contains a humidity sensitive chemical,
the apparatus is packed airtight in a container and
lead sealed at the factory. The apparatus check is
made on the closed container. The check intervals
depend on how the apparatus have been treated,
in accordance with the intervals schedule (7.2).

On used apparatus and apparatus that have been

reasons.
approx. 1 vol. %
Interior checks and reconditioning of the
ready-for-use device shall be performed by
MSA AUER or authorized service centers.
The following rules must be observed for the
20 min *)
return of used equipment for overhauling:
• The apparatus may only be packed cooled off
and dry.
• Organic substances (e. g. solvents, alcohols,
oils, greases, fuels, etc.) must not get into the
chemical canister.
If the complete unit cannot be packed in the
container, the following procedure is required:
• The chemical canister must be removed from the
apparatus (loosen clamp, remove protective
cover), packed inside the container and sealed
with the original locking assembly of the
container (do not use finely cut filling material).
• The other apparatus components are placed
with the closed container and all are carefully
packed.
• The components must be complete and
undamaged.
Replacement of components increases the repair
cost.
7.1.1 Disposal
Apparatus no longer required must be disposed of
properly.
The chemical canister contains strong alkaline and
oxidizing substances (potassium hydroxide,
potassium carbonate and potassium peroxide).
For disposal local regulations are to be observed.
