3/ Precautions to be followed when removing the manifold

When it is necessary to remove manifold "C", unscrew the screws slowly to avoid
gripping between the material and the screws.
When refitting, thoroughly clean the hole and the screw. Insert the screw in the hole,
slowly turning by hand in direction "A" until the beginning of the threaded part has been
reached , then turn the screw in direction "B" by hand without forcing.
Slowly tighten in direction "B" using a screwdriver until tight. Do not force. Always carry

out these operations using normal screwdrivers, avoiding the use of automatic

screwdrivers.

Modification to be carried out if the threaded housing of self-tapping
screws "F" is torn
If the threads of screw seats "F" become torn when removing and refitting manifold "C",
use a flat or square 3 or 4 mm thick coarse-grained file to form a slot as indicated in "E".
Insert an M3 nut in this slot and replace screws "F" with M3 screws "D" of appropriate
length (minimum 15 mm).
