4. Press the locking button and detach the air humidifier from the drying
adapter.
5. Remove the drying adapter from the therapy unit by turning slightly.
We recommend replacing plastic parts after max 2 years' service for reasons of
hygiene.

5.3 Descaling

If scale can be seen on the base of the housing and the heating element:
1. Add appr. 150 ml of pure domestic vinegar (5% solution, without additives)
to the base of the breath humidifier and allow to take effect for one hour.
2. Pour away the vinegar solution.
3. Wipe out the housing parts with a clean cloth and rinse well several times with
water.
4. Then dry all parts carefully.

5.4 Disinfection

The breath humidifier can be disinfected. Please observe the operating instruc-
tions for the disinfectant used. We recommend GIGASEPT FF.
You are recommended to wear suitable gloves (e.g. household or disposable
gloves) during disinfection procedures.
The procedure for disassembly and assembly of the breath humidifier is as for
cleaning (see "5.2 Cleaning" on page 12).

3. To start the drying process, press the On/Off but-
ton on the therapy device. Press menu button
to open the patient menu. Start the drying
process by pressing the knob. The unit now
switches on and dries the breath humidifier.
The remaining time is displayed. The system
switches off automatically after appr. 30 min-
utes.
