2. Description of Equipment

2.1 Intended purpose

The VENTIclick humidifier is used to warm the flow of air from a ventilation device
and to add moisture. This prevents the patient's upper airways from drying out
during therapy.
VENTIclick can only be operated in conjunction with the following Weinmann
ventilation devices:
• VENTImotion
• VENTImotion 2
• VENTIlogic
• VENTIlogic LS
• VENTIlogic plus
Always use the appliance only for the purpose described here.

2.2 Functional description

The humidifier works on the "overflow principle". The air coming from the ven-
tilation device passes over the surface of a heated supply of water. This increases
the relative humidity and the temperature of the airflow. The moisture output can
be individually adjusted by means of the buttons on the Weinmann therapy de-
vice. The performance of the heating element, and hence the water temperature
in the humidifying chamber, is controlled electronically by the Weinmann therapy
unit.
The water level can be checked at any time by looking at the transparent
humidifying chamber.
