Installing Your Sun Enterprise 250 Server

Your new Sun Enterprise 250 server is "configured-to-order," which means that most
internal options that you order are pre-installed at the factory. However, if you
ordered options that are not factory-installed, these will be shipped to you
separately.

If you are upgrading to a rackmount configuration of the Sun Enterprise 250 server,

Installing New Disk Drive Brackets

If you are transferring 1-inch high, 3.5-inch UltraSCSI-3 disk drives from your old
system to the Enterprise 250 server, the drive brackets on your disk drives may be
incompatible with the Enterprise 250 server. In this case, you must install the new
brackets provided with your upgrade in order to transfer the drives into the new
server.
Examine the illustrations in this section to see if your drives have the old bracket.
If you need to install new brackets on your disk drives, follow this procedure:
1. Remove the disk drive from your old system.
