Attention! Be careful while positioning the parallel ropes,
in particular on the trees. Always remember to fix the rope
edges to an anchor point at the base, in order to avoid
the fall, in case one of the two cams jams (Fig. 6).
5.4 - Arborism progressin technique. The Quick'Arbor
H can be used for working on trees, by employing the
double ropes technique. The device is equipped with two
safety covers that: a) prevent the accidental insertion of a
foreign body between one of the cams and the rope (for
example leaves or branches); b) prevent the accidental
exit of the ropes, in case of separate ropes. Attention!
Before the use, it is compulsory to receive a specific train-
ing for working on trees.
5.5 - Attention! This device is not designed for use dur-
ing descents but it can be used for short sections as fol-
lows: relieve the load from the device to partially open
the lever, operating it internally so as not to move the
safety lock, move the device down (2) and reapply the
load (Fig. 6).
5.6 - Release under load (PATENTED). The device
comes with a mechanism that enables it to open even
when it is not possible to relieve the load completely.
Move the ratchet grip inward to turn the cam and move it
away from the rope, which allows it to release and open
out (Fig. 6.1÷6.3). The force applied depends on the
load on the device, but it must always be enough to pre-
vent any accidental opening. With this system the cam
does not open if the load applied (e.g. the weight of an
operator) is too high. Releasing in the presence of an ex-
cessive load may damage the rope slightly.
5.7 - EN12841:2006.These equipment are rope ad-
justment devices type B, for the ascending of a working
line. Rope adjustment devices type B are Personal Pro-
tective Equipment (PPE) intended to be incorporated in a
rope access system. Rope adjustment devices must not be
used for fall arrest. An anchor line loaded with the entire
weight of the user, has to be considered a work line and
is not meant to arrest a fall. It is mandatory to use a fall
arrest back-up device type A connected to a safety line.
Pay attention that the back-up system is never loaded on
to the work line (Fig. 12). Warnings: use only semi-stat-
ic rope (core + sheath) between 10 and 13 mm certified
to EN 1891 type A (For the certification of this device, the
following ropes have been employed: Teufelberger Patron
PLUS Ø 10 mm e Beal Bonsaï Ø 13 mm); avoid any over-
loading or loading on the device because can harm the
anchor line; maximum length of the lanyard to extend the
harness connection by 1 m (lanyard + connectors + de-
vice); during the use, the anchor point must always be
placed above the waist belt attachment point of the har-
ness; the technical performances of the anchor line might
vary considerably, due to dirt, moisture, ice, repeated us-
es on the same stretch: keep in mind that these variances
will influence the behavior of the rope inside the device;
max work-load 140 kg.
6) PERIODIC CHECK.
At least every 12 months (6 months for usage in the sea),
a rigorous check of the device must be carried out by
the manufacturer or expert staff expressly certified by the
manufacturer. This frequency can vary depending on the
frequency and intensity of usage. Performing periodic
checks on a regular basis is essential to ensure the con-
tinued efficiency and durability of the device, on which
the safety of the user depends. The results of the checks
will be related on the appropriate sheet that is supplied
with every device and that must accompany the device.
Warning! If the sheet is missing, or illegible, do not use
the device.

ISTRUZIONI SPECIFICHE EN 12841-B.
rischio (ambientali, concomitanti, consequenziali). Que-
