Preliminary work 690 Duke
- Take off the seat.
- Release the rubber strap from the battery (8).
- Take the rubber strap off of the ABS Bad Fuel Dongle (7).
Installation 690 Duke
- For installation, use the special tool 5030501700004 (spring hook) and
spray the rubber strap with silicone spray.
- Slide the rubber strap from the ABS Bad Fuel Dongle (7) onto the rubber
strap of the battery (8).
- Slide the ABS Bad Fuel Dongle (1) (included) onto the rubber strap of the
ABS Bad Fuel Dongle (7) (included).
- Remove the protection cap from the diagnostics connector.
- Connect the ABS Bad Fuel Dongle (1) (included) with the diagnostics con-
nector.
Properly route the cables and secure them with cable ties.
Ensure that the cables are neither kinked nor pinched.
Check the routed cables to ensure that there is no chafing.
- Attach the rubber strap of the battery.
- Mount the seat.
The KTM dongle function 690 Duke is homologated
In the 690 Duke, a choice can be made between 3 ABS functions.
- Road ABS mode (ABS lamp off):
The ABS function is active on the front wheel and rear wheel (two-chan-
nel ABS).
- Offroad ABS mode (flashing ABS lamp):
The ABS function is only active on the front wheel (one-channel ABS). The
rear wheel can be blocked at any time without ABS controlling the braking
procedure.
- Off ABS mode (permanently lit ABS lamp):
The ABS function is switched off. The front wheel and rear wheel can be
blocked at any time without the ABS controlling the braking procedure.
NOTE:
When the KTM dongle is connected and the Offroad ABS mode or Off ABS
mode is active:
After the ignition is switched off and on, the vehicle automatically changes
to the Road ABS mode.
