Introduction
Every roller shutter is a complex structure
which consists of many individual parts that
interlock seamlessly. This is true for high
speed shutter doors as well as the more
transparent link grille shutters.
The more precisely such a highquality
product is installed and the more profes
sionally it is operated and maintained, the
better it will perform in everyday use.
These assembly, operating and mainte
nance instructions are intended to ensure
optimal performance of this Novoferm
product.

General instructions
The roller shutters are rated for a maxi-
mum wind pressure of 500 N/m² (wind
force 10) and 30 000 cycles.
The door system must only be fitted by
qualified staff as per EN 12635.
Before proceeding with installation work,
please read the installation manual and
other specific descriptions (e.g. door drive,
anti runoff device) thoroughly and observe
the corresponding drawings and instruc
tions.
Welding work must only be carried out by
persons with a valid welder's certificate as
per EN 2871.
Changes to the parts or arrangements
which do not conform to the design are not
allowed. If necessary, the manufacturer's
approval must be obtained.
Proper installation is to be documented on
handing the systems over to the customer.
Dismantling must take place in reverse
order to the assembly instructions. When
replacing drives or bearings, the roller
curtain has to be lowered completely and
the top roller secured.
